I don't know of a book on edgings, but I ran across a website that has at least 100 vintage lace edgings for FREE. Check it out.

What about Knitting on the Edge and Knitting over the edge? The first at least has a chapter on lace. The second I haven't seen, but I assume it is organized the same way. Beats me why I can't think of the author.

If you can find it, try Barbara Abbey's Knitting Lace. I can't find my copy at the moment, but it has a lot of beautiful edgings. (I will try harder to find mine, since it seems to be going for $200 on Amazon. Zoinks!)

And don't forget the Barbara Walker treasuries.

La put together a lace shawl pattern for me, but she left me on my own to figure out how to miter the corners of the edging. I'm probably looking for a NEW edging, one that doesn't require a complete re-work. If I come across any other books in my searches I'll certainly let you know.
