The knit list has an on going discussion thread:
Subject: Tools for knitting that aren’t supposed to be knitting tools.
Here’s my entry. Uses:
- Prevents “snatch and dash” by cats.
- Prevents tangling with other balls of yarn in an over stuffed knitting or craft bag.
- Keeps yarn off the bus floor when commuting.
- Keeps yarn clean when knitting on the bus.
- Keeps ball of yarn balls from rolling off and under the couch.
- Prevents hot chocolate or wine from spilling on the ball of yarn.
Do you have any useful tools?

Ziploc Baggies.. Great for “poor knitters” storage of circulars,
stitch makers, cable needles, and all the other little stuff that gets
lost in the bottom of the bag, basket, sofa etc….

Oh, yeah! Storing circulars– those bags they come in are too small. A big ziplock back is much better.
