This expensive yarn
is not carried by Walmart.
Good taste is priceless.
Was this yarn super expensive? I don’t honestly know. I was in grad school when this pattern was published and I considered Tahki yarns way, way out of my price range. That was one of the reasons I was not tempted to knit this.

OK. This one is soooooo classic. It reminds me of when one of my long haired cats is grooming itself. You know… there’s like little tufts of wet hair sticking out every which way. So I guess this sweater looks like it was just licked all over by a tiger.

Well dear, I sure as heck hope the other reason you didn’t knit this sweater is cause it is god awful. hehehe
I agree with Sachi on it looking like a cat just licked it all over. hehe

I remember those day (back in 1984!) And I am sure I wanted the sweater just like that!
