A golden haired boy,
wearing little yellow ducks,
will warm his mom’s heart.
This sweater pattern appeared in the March 1985 issue of Workbasket. I scored 179 issues on ebay, so you will be seeing more hand knits from this classic crochet - knitting - needlework magazine!

Wow!!! And I thought I was nuts about collecting craft magazines. hehehehe I’ve been on a mission to collect copies of Knitter’s, InKnitters, Cast On, Vogue Knitting and Interweave Knits. By far I have more copies of Knitter’s than the others, although VK is catching up. The new magazines just don’t come out fast enough to keep me entertained. hehe Can we say PAS?

Ahh, but you’re trying to collect the good ones!
Workbasket is good in it’s own way, but unlike many of the other magazines, it wasn’t trying to be upscale. This is the magazine for knit tissue paper holders, granny afghans, very, very easy slippers etc. If you’ve seen the item at a church bazaar, it probably appeared in Workbasket!
(They also have some good basic sweaters!)
