The frozen faced smile
of a college age daughter
in a hand knit gift.
As I wrote the first haiku I suddenly realized what the wearer was thinking:
“Truly timeless knits”
Hey! This cape has timeless style:
Not now, not ever!
Where did I find this? Reynolds Lopi volume 76; the same issue with the suffering little boy and his fun fur loving sister. Having shown three ponchos from that volume, you may have developed the impression it’s chockful of hand knits with that timeless, yet always recognizable, unwanted gift quality; it’s not. The rest of the volume contains beautiful traditional Icelandic yoke sweaters.
