This has nothing to do with your post today, but I wanted to pop my head in and say THANK YOU for the calculators, especially the sock one! It is just so cool! I tried it using the gauge for a sock and yarn that I know works well for socks for my feet and the results the calculator gave me in terms of number of stitches and yardage were spot on. Thanks for the update on The General. We lost one of our beloved kitties, Noel, on 5/31/06 (I found out while I waited for my mother who was in surgery for a subdural hematoma - talk about your bad day!!). My husband says Boo (the fat white butt) seems to be extra loving and cuddly too, but I hope that as with The General, this too shall pass. Boo does have another cat in the house, Troy, to hang with but all he really likes to do to Troy is sit on him like a pillow. Ah, I love me some kitties!!

LOL! Squirrels can be so mean. The ones around here sit on the fence and twitch their tails at my kitties. My Nova (who looked a lot like the General) didn’t have front claws but managed to catch one anyhow. Then he looked at me like I would somehow know what to do with a screaming squirrel.

Biggie was 50% bigger (without being fat) and 100% faster than The General. Last summer when healthy, Biggie caught a few and scared all the squirrels away. The General catches bunnies, brings them in the cat door and releases them. Once in the house, they squeal, I toss a towel over then and I throw put them under a shrub or in the woodpile. I’m glad he can’t catch squirrels!
