Scotties are so sweet;
They like to jump and lick me.
I always let them.
At knit club last night, Cathy asked if all my haikus were for ugly things. I said, “Nope!” In fact, I told her, the one at showing at the blog at that very minute was a cute knit dachshund! (Wasn’t that a lucky break for me!)
That said, I need to admit that, to inspire knitting haiku, a pattern needs to be remarkable. Remarkable how? Well, they could be extraordinarily beautiful. More often, they are remarkable in some other way. Idiotic? Sometimes. Ugly? Sometimes. Way out of fashion? Yep!
Just silly or funny? Those are the best!

I LOVED that dachshund pattern and bought it on the spot! There is also a border collie…bought that too. What fun I’m going to have knitting them up!

I would love that pattern I could see it knit up into a felted tote overflowing with westie goodness.

Yeah they do look more like scotties so I would have to change the shape up a bit around the head to make them look more like westies.

I’m reminded of one of my favorite “Kids in the Hall” skits — Bruce McCullough’s ode to terriers!
