Welcome all knittingfiends,
I’ve decided to create a blog to discuss progress on our knittingfiend projects.
It’s not much of a blog yet, but you can add your comments. Just click “comment” and enter your comments in a box. That should work.
I think you can’t register or login! So, ignore that. I have no idea what “search” or the calendar do yet. But, heck, if you like clicking things, give them a try.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be learning how to tailor this blog software, so it will be more fun for us.
Oh.. yes.. Sandy, that is me! If you like that particular sweater, I discuss how to knit it on a knitting machine here: V neck Vest. You could use the “simple” V neck generator to chart it if you don’t want the vest to nip in at the waist.
Lucia

Hi, I like this blog idea. Lucia, if that is you on the picture with the beige Vneck vest. I’m impressed. That sweater fits beautifully and you look beautiful in it. Very simple and just plain nice. Proves sometimes fit is everything. Now I will get started on the one I planed to do but……..I have a problem with my idea. I want to use Denny Brunton yarn. If you are familiar with this it changes colors and knitting it the regular way (bottom to top) produces stripes that go around. I want to knit it side to side so my stripes go up and down and not around. Could I do this with your generator?

Right now, you can’t use the current generator to chart a sideways vest.
Strangely… I did crochet a sweater sideways for the exact same reason. I wanted “ribs” sideways. I think I’m going to have to get coding like a maniac pretty soon! I keep letting myself get distracted from coding.

Why does it say at the bottom Jew JEwish google bombing? I was about to make a donation and thought WHAT IS THIS???
Comment by KAren — 6/22/2004 @ 8:29 am
On the jewish google bombing… some time ago a hate group got together and created a big antii-jewish site. They then created a whole bunch of web pages to point to the site– and caused searches on “jew” or “jewish” to send you to the page of hate links. A jewish friend asked me to request a whole bunch of people to put links to wikipedia’s encyclopedia entry on jews– or any other page that actually provides information on Jews. Then, to ask others to do the same.
Portions about the story are here:

Google response is here:

I should probably take the gooble bombing info off the page!
(I did manage to figure out how to remove the other spam!)
