The Knitting Fiend

 

Dammit, I’m pissed off!
I knit this designer top:
the hem is crooked!

 
This is from Maggie Jackson’s 13th book of ugly hand knit patterns. This book is called “The Romantic Look”. As usual, the sweaters are scraggly. Also, as usual, the models are often shown standing with their back against the wall.

Rumor has it this is because the knitting often not finished before the photo shoot. The designer hides this with careful posing. If so, I suspect this model is pissed off because her back is pushed up against a cold, clammy wall!

Maybe it’s not that bad…. Maybe I’ve just developed a prejudice against pom poms after seeing endless pompom patterns at Joann Fabrics where I found this.

Or maybe it really is that bad. . .

 

I did my laundry;
it was my very first time.
My sweater is clean.

Adriafil have some lovely yarns. I don’t know what they call this yarn, but I call it “Scraggly”.

Adriafil has some lovely patterns. Look carefully. Does that look like a fitted sleeve? Why go to the trouble of shaping a sleeve cap when you’re knitting something using “Scraggly?” Well, at least if you make mistakes, they don’t show!
