Ponchos Can Kill Fib

Like the medusa,
whose tentacles harden viewers,
that poncho freezes all who behold it into stone.

This fib is dedicated to Jen and La of JenLa on the occasion of their new blog tag line:

Either way, some ponchos can just knock you dead!

Ugly Acrostic

Loathsome
Yarn

I know some of you like the Haiku and are disappointed when I substitute other forms of poetry. But let’s face it; this knitting pattern spat out an acrostic.

For those wondering, yes, I continue to have blog hosting “issues”. I’m working to resolve them; I’ll report more details later!

March 13– I’ve set the DNS pointers for the Annex and the Forum to resolve to DreamHost. It takes between 1 and 3 days for the pointers to fully resolve, and the whole resolving thing tends to be a bit random. Forum and annex behavior may seem odd over the next few days; some messages on the Forum will be lost because… well… because.

Two Knitting Fibs

p,
m1
ssk,
k2tog,
p2tog tbl.
Knowledgable knitters know these abbreviations.

knit,
purl,
make one,
slip, slip, knit,
knit two together,
purl two together through back loops.
Knowledgable knitters need to know these knitting terms.

I now have several fibs under my belt. The Abbreviation Fib is based on the number of non-blank characters in an abbreviation. That’s a bit unconventional. But, if you read the second Fib, you’ll see the first qualifies based on the number of syllables. Does that make it a double fib?
